  1. These are such great tips, especially for a beginning blogger. I've been at this for awhile now and use pretty much all of these tools in an assortment of ways. – Katy

  2. What a fantastic post – thanks for sharing some great tips! I fell away from my blogging journal for a minute, and it was disastrous!

  3. These are such great tips! I take most of my pics with my DSLR camera and some with my phone. It's crazy how some of my photos from my phone end up better…Yes and organization is a must to stay on top of everything and keeping a schedule. Thanks so much for sharing!!

  4. Honestly, thank you for this post! I am such a newb in the blogging world and I know that there is still plenty of room for improvement. I've been considering upgrading my camera, but had no idea which brand or type to choose. After reading this I am definitely considering the Canon Rebel!

  5. Love everything about this. I take most of my pictures with my smart phone (lack of other option) but edit them with Photoshop afterwards. The smartphone cameras really came a long way and as long as there is natural light do surprisingly good.

  6. I love this! I have joined a few blogging groups and it's helped me a lot in terms of inspiration. It's also nice to see that even when we're all writing blogs were all so different and so is our content. I also love the idea of an idea notebook right now I use notes on my phone and it's getting full. Thanks for the great advice!

  7. I like VSCO for general instagram editing, but I've still been trying to find an app I heard about (I can't remember the name of it) that allows you to use aperture and ISO while you're taking photos, especially since a DSLR definitely isn't in my budget right now. Great post, thank you for the guide!

  8. This is fantastic! While I'm still working on my photography [slash making my husband work on his photography…:P], just taking the plunge on a great camera with a 55mm lens moved mountains for me! Such a difference. And double yes to having blog friends to bounce things off of 🙂

  9. I think I'm the only person on this planet who doesn't love the VSCO app but I am obsessed with A Color Story! Their app finally figured out how to get really bright colors without making the photo look grainy and weird.
