Over the weekend my friend Emily and I stopped by the farmers market in downtown Harrisonburg VA. Since the weather was so nice, it was great to get out and walk around downtown and stop by the pavilion to see what the vendors were selling at the market. It’s still early in the year for a lot of crops, but there were a ton of spring flowers, herbs, and root vegetables on display. There were also quite a few crafters, as well as bakers, a soapmaker, and a barbecue smoker.
Emily was excited to see kettle corn, and wasted no time grabbing herself a bag (seriously, that stuff is delish!) we also talked for a while with a woman that made these gorgeous marbled soaps. She explained a lot of ingredients and essential oils to us, and even mentioned that she’s working on getting a class put together for locals and students.
I’m so excited that spring is finally here! I’ll have to go to more farmers markets soon 🙂
