It’s no secret that I’m big into podcasts. I listen to nearly 8 hours of them a day, no joke. Not only do I use podcasts to keep up with what’s going on in the world, most of the podcasts I listen to are hilarious AND pack a punch on current events. What’s not to love?
Seek Treatment with Cat and Pat
I first started listening to Seek Treatment about a year ago when they were a brand new pod. Hosted by two comedians (you’ll see a trend here) Cat and Pat are two of the most entertaining people to listen to. They discuss topics like dating and love, but are never shy about their exploits. I’ve picked up so much lingo from this podcast, and it’s safe to say I’m truly obsoosed.
The Worst with Greta Titelman
I became familliar with Greta a few years ago when I’d occasionally listen to her old podcast Lady Lovin’ with Jilly Hendrix and Lo Bosworth. Greta was always my favorite to hear from back in those days, and I was really excited to see her go solo. In this pod, Greta and guest discuss some of “the worst” things in life and pop culture. Definitely worth a listen!
Glowing Up
Girl talk is very important to me (I have a blog, hello) and Glowing Up is the perfect podcast to listen to when you need a break. Esther and Caroline are funny, fresh, and have the best tips for health, wellness, beauty, and cheat days. Love Swedish Fish and cucumbers with sea salt? This is the pod for you.
Why Won’t You Date Me?
Nicole Beyer is another amazing comedian with a hilarious dating podcast. On this show, Nicole interviews her friends and peers about their dating lives and ultimately asks them “Would you date me?” (The answer is usually yes, because she’s great!)
The Simple Sophisticate
If you want to elevate your life, this is the pod for you. Shannon Ables shares her tips and tricks for living a simply luxurious life. Anglo and Franco philes rejoice, this pod is full of European charm. Her voice is soothing and full of wisdom, and she ends every episode with a Petit Pleasure – something she’s been loving in the past few weeks.
Goop Yourself
Another wellness inspired pod I love is Goop Yourself. Fascinated by Goop and the mogul herself, Gwenyth Paltrow, Bryan and Aggie dissect all things GP with equal parts skepticism and fanaticism. This is the place to go to get your Woo-Woo on, but also keep your feet firmly planted on the ground.
Yo, Is This Racist?
This is a podcast I’ve discovered more recently, and have since been learning a lot from it. Every episode, Andrew and Tawny take an advice question from a listener, and they discuss the topic through the lenses of race, class, gender, and etc. As a white person, I’ve found this podcast incredibly informative and helpful. Definitely a great listen for anyone out there.
Las Culturistas
One of my favorite podcasts of all time – Las Culturistas stars Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, two hilarious comedians that always leave me in stitches. At the end of every episode, and sometimes as it’s own touring comedy show, they present a 1 minute gripe on a topic of their choosing called “I don’t think so, Honey!” Truly one of the best.
Unhappy Hour
I’ve loved this podcast since the beginning. Matt Belassai is one of the funniest people around, and a podcast dedicating to complaining might just be the most cathartic thing imaginable. No pressure to be anything but grumpy – and that’s fun sometimes!
By The Book
If you’re interested in self help at all, this is the pod for you. Kristen and Jolenta dive deep into inspirational literature by committing to living by it for two weeks. When they give their verdicts, sometimes you feel as though you’ve gone on a transformative journey with them – and other times you agree that certain books are a load of hooey. This pod is a comforting and eye-opening listen, and often inspires a bit of introspection. Definitely one of my favorites.
Natch Beaut
I’ve followed Jackie Johnson for a few years now, and I love her big personality and southern sass. A girl after my own heart, she only promotes cruelty-free products, and always has the best recommendations for indie brands. Listen to Natch Beaut if you want a laugh, a few new catch phrases, and a full Sephora cart.
The Fringe of It
This pod is delightfully British, wholesome, and stylish. I love Liv and Charlotte’s takes on all things floral, great TV, and shopping. They also tackle more hard hitting topics like body positivity and feminism, but this pod is my place for a peaceful and charming listen. Makes me want to sit down with a cuppa tea, and book a flight to England to hang with these gals.
